Modeling copepod diversity, biogeography, and life history in a changing ocean
The life histories of marine animals have evolved to maximize their fitness within a range of environmental conditions. We are developing mechanistic models of copepod growth and development that can predict how copepod species distributions in space and time are shaped by their environment. I will present an overview of our approach and how it can be used to understand changes in copepod diversity and abundance.
